Holiday sewing! I couldn’t resist a little “sew frosting” when I received this gorgeous Embroidered Tulle fabric from Minerva in exchange of a blog post on their website.
- Pattern: McCall’s M7995 View A
- Fabrics: Embroidered Tulle by Minerva underlined with black Bemberg rayon. Burgundy stretchy satin fabric for the contrast collar and flounces.
- Sizing & Modifications: I cut a size Small for the top of the dress and a size Medium for the bottom to accommodate my growing belly. Though at 35 weeks pregnant, my intention for this dress is mainly postpartum use.

The side bow is quite lovely but is a little overpowering for my frame so I like the option of leaving it as a side tie too…
I love this trapeze dress so much! Easy, comfy with the right amount of shimmer and shine that makes me wanna dance!
This holiday season will be different than most due to the early-December arrival of our little boy. But this cute dress will hopefully be a hit at next year’s holiday parties! 😉

You look awesome! I like the shape of dress and the big bow on the neck, it’s a wonderful detail! Also, the fabrics you chose are beautiful and they match perfectly! Amazing job!!

This dress is absolutely gorgeous – the contrasting fabrics are genius!!! After seeing it on Instagram, I had to have it, and after months of looking for appropriate fabric I’ve just made it – is that OK if I reference it on my blog sixmignons.com?
