The Toaster Sweater is another one of my recent makes. I received this fun French Terry from Minerva in exchange of a future blog post on their website. It won’t be live for another few months so I’m sharing a few details and pictures today of this toasty little sweater!
- Pattern: Toaster Sweater 2 by Sew House Seven
- Fabric: French Terry by Minerva
- Sizing & Modifications: I cut a Small. Because this French Terry didn’t have any stretch, I went one size up compared to what I would have if I had used a stretchy knit. I also graded to a size Medium for the bottom to accommodate my pregnant belly. Finally, I used a simple straight stitch instead of the recommended double-stitch and zig-zag topstitching because again, this French Terry didn’t have any stretch.
I love the semi-high collar and trapeze shape of this sweater. It’s super cute and cozy!
And I’m surprised how well it works with dresses and pencil skirts too! Here I paired it with my Erin Maternity Pencil Skirt for a more put-together look.
Thanks for reading!
