Maternity Wrap Dress

I was gifted a beautiful floral cotton jersey by Minerva for an upcoming blog post on their website. I decided to make the Ultimate Wrap Dress by Sew Over It. All the info will be on Minerva in a few months but in the meantime, here are a few shots and details on how I made this lovely knit dress bump-friendly!

  • Pattern: Ultimate Wrap Dress by Sew Over It
  • Fabric: Floral Cotton Jersey by Minerva
  • Sizing & Modifications:  US4/UK8 + Sew Over it Maternity Hack which explains how to add an empire line seam so that the wrap falls above the bump. It also shows you how to extend the front of the skirt to create more room for the growing belly. For the neckline, I sewed a band instead of the facing to add a little more coverage.

I love how this one turned out. The empire wrap sits exactly where I was hoping it would. After my waistline has shrunk in a few months, I plan to crop the center front skirt a bit to even out the hemline so I can keep wearing this cute dress postpartum.

And now, some pictures:

Thanks for reading!
